The luxurious 5-star Century Star began her maiden voyage on Sep 12, 2003. With its grand two-story lobby to the beautiful ballroom, elegant restaurant and top furnishing, the ship boasts the same comforts and amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel.

The first thing being noticed when you looked at the photos of the Century Star may be that all of the cabins have balconies. What a great idea for river and inland cruising! There's almost always something to see when you look out your window on a river cruise, so having a private balcony is a wonderful amenity. Every cabin also has a color television, telephone, air conditioning, and of course a private bath and shower. The cabins on the ship were quite nice, and with the balconies, these promise to be even better.

The common areas on the 186-passenger Century Star include a restaurant with open seating for dinner on the main deck, and an observation lounge and bar and coffee bar on the observation deck. The Century Star also has a small exercise room, massage room, and Mah Jong room. The ship has a bar on the top deck, which should be a great vantage point when the weather is nice.

The ship is equipped with Radar, Sonar, and GPS system which assures the security of navigation and you will also cruise in comfort.

The sun-deck bar also is a great place to grab drinks in the evening, and there is a lobby lounge for cocktails and swapping stories about your day's adventures. For those of you who need your daily workout, there is an onboard gym, and there are regular lectures and talks about the Chinese history and culture. Music and dancing are the norm at night on the water during the cruise trip.
